Summer is an excellent time to focus on Scripture Memory with your family- no school schedule to worry about, no homework, more free time.

Why not challenge your kids to reach a Scripture Memory goal by the end of the summer? Mom and Dad can join in, too!

Here are some ideas:

  • Tackle an entire chapter or passage
  • Focus on a particular topic and learn verses that teach on that subject.
  • Choose a certain number of verses to memorize by the end of summer
  • Each child can set their own personal goal to reach
  • or work together as a family on the same passages and verses and keep each other accountable to reach the goal

If you like, celebrate at the end of the summer with a special family outing or treat for those who participated and reached their goals.

Whatever you choose- if you commit even just 5 minutes a day to working on Scripture Memory- you will be amazed how much your family will memorize.
