Discover the next generation of great filmmakers with Student Selects, the only Columbia University Film Festival event on campus this year. This evening-length program features students' favorite shorts from this year’s festival, all written, directed, and produced by School of the Arts graduate film students. Columbia Film Festival shorts are known for going on to win top honors at prestigious festivals worldwide. Catch them before they hit Sundance!

College Group at the Met Waist Up/Waist Down: An Evening of Schiaparelli and Prada Tue. May 15 at 8:00 PM

Applaud the end of the school year in style at a private party with the College Group at the Met in celebration of The Costume Institute's new special exhibition Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. Hear comments by Curator Andrew Bolton and view the exhibition on your own or on tours led by CGM members. Jonathan KYLE Farmer, MA, Royal College of Art, will teach a design workshop, and the winner of the recent accessory-design contest will be announced. You are encouraged to dress to impress in your chicest waist-up or waist-down ensemble. For inspiration, see images of Elsa Schiaparelli's and Miuccia Prada's work.

The Arts Initiative at Columbia University is seeking a Summer Associate interested in putting his/her skills to use in helping the organization achieve its mission to make arts and culture a meaningful part of every Columbian's experience. Its diverse programs encourage students, faculty, and alumni in all fields to generate, study, and engage the creative life of the campus, the city, and the wider world. Students will also have access to the other AI and Miller Theatre staff – many of whom have worked in the professional theatre, film, music, television, and visual arts world and the network of former AI interns who now work in local arts and cultural organizations.
Interested applicants must be current Columbia students enrolled in summer classes.
