What's New  with Deep Green Wilderness
Orion and her crew have spent the last two months plying the waters of the Salish Sea.   We have sailed from  Pt. Roberts to Elliott Bay studying seabirds with students from the St. Thomas School, identifying rare wildflowers with our friends from the North Cascade Institute and  filming the upcoming documentary
The Unknown Sea A voyage on the Salish.  
The Crew has been  busy bending on the new main and staysail, Orion has a new coat of paint  and all are looking forward to getting underway for an incredible summer.

There are still a couple bunks left on each of our summer voyages but time is running out so be sure fill out your application and return it to us as soon as possible.   We also have a few scholarships available for reduced tuition, read over the application or contact Captain Kevin for more information.

Sailing With A Porpoise 

Desolation Sound June 29th-July 13th 

Two week sailing trip along the Sunshine Coast and Desolation Sound studying Marine Mammals, Ecology, Conservations and Navigation

 

Ages 14-18

San Juans July 20th-24th

Five day San Juan Island Voyage studying Marine Biology and Porpoises.  Spend a week learning to sail and visiting some of our favorite places in the Islands 

 

Orca Project

San Juans Aug 4th-18th

Two Weeks Studying Orca Whales

Join us for year three of our celebrated program.    Research these iconic animals learn about the issues that effect their environment and learn how to sail in the San Juan Islands

 

Wilderness Discovery Voyage 

Ages 16-20

Pacific Coast Vancouver Island Aug 31st-Sept 15th

Orion returns to Vancouver Island for more whales, bears, surfing and exploring.   Study the unique ecology of the area and conduct marine biology research.  Make an ocean passage and learn coastal navigation skills.
