SUMMER BIBLE READING PLAN
WEEK 3
Hello Trinity Family!

Here we are in week 3 of our Summer Bible Reading Plan, covering chapters 15-21 in the Book of Matthew. If you're not swimming through the Scriptures with us yet, you can still dive in! Just read two Gospel chapters per day over the next two weeks, and you’ll get all caught up on our study of the life and teachings of Jesus.

I’m so glad to know you are benefiting from the weekly memory verses and guiding prayers. As you read and pray, ask Holy Spirit to speak to you through the Scriptures about the situations you're going through. Write down what He says, make note of verses you find especially relevant, and commit God’s promises to memory.

This week, we continue reading through the Book of Matthew. Describing Jesus as King fourteen times, and making reference to 'the Kingdom' nearly forty times, Matthew presents the Gospel of His King and His Kingdom. Together, let’s learn how to receive the Kingdom, love the King, and live fully for Him.

Be sure to tag @trinity_online or use the #tcbiblereading on all your social media accounts so we can encourage one another.

Blessings,

Pastor Jim

Extra Reading:
For those who would like to spend even more time in the Word this summer, I encourage you to read one chapter from Proverbs and one chapter from Psalms each day.

the request of his lips. Selah

my stronghold.

7  When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies
to be at peace with him.

Weekly Prayer:
Father, I thank You for Your great love toward us in sending Your Son, Jesus. Thank you for revealing through Him,
Your heart and Your heavenly Kingdom realm. I want to enter in
and live like My King Jesus lived, continually
extending His Kingdom.
Give me a deep desire for Your Word,
change my way of thinking, and fill me with fascination as I learn the beauty of Your ways.
Teach me to receive the Kingdom with the humble, simplicity
and wonder of a child, so I can live
it to the fullest extent. Give me discernment to see the things that are keeping me from experiencing the supernatural life,
and grant me the grace to remove them from my life.
Wash me in Your Word and prune my heart through it
so I can glorify You. Thank You Lord, for loving
me so much You won’t leave me unchanged.
(Prayer taken from Matthew 18:3-4, 7-9)

Weekly Memory Verse(s):

Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable,
and learn about heaven’s kingdom realm with the wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never
be able to enter in. (Matthew 18:3)

God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me!
You are the revelation-light in my darkness,
and in your brightness I can see the path ahead. (Psalm 18:28)

Life motivation comes from the deep longings of the heart,
and the passion to see them fulfilled urges you onward. (Proverbs 16:26)

Daily Prayer:
Father,
In the name of Jesus, I come to you today. I present my life to You. I have determined in my heart to love You, Father, and Your Word. I desire the awe-inspiring fear of the Lord to direct every motive of my heart today. I will think about You all day and consider Your will for my life. I receive peace for my mind and hope for my heart. You are my provider. I rest knowing You are taking care of me and my household.
I trust Your love for me.
I choose today to walk in forgiveness toward those who have hurt me or may hurt me today. The love of Jesus fills my heart because the Holy Spirit has put it there. I am well able to walk in love.
Put a watch on my lips that I can please you with what I say. My heart is satisfied in You. I want to follow you, so I deny myself and take up my cross this day. I am not alone. You are with me. I rest in your love.
I resist unbelief and every other enemy of the cross. I can say to the mountains, “Move!” and they will obey. My help is from the Lord.
Direct me in Your path today. Bring me into large and pleasant places.
I am dependent upon Your direction and protection.
I love You with all my heart and strength, O God, my Savior and friend.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
