SUMMER BIBLE READING PLAN
WEEK 2
Hello Trinity Family!

Today, we begin week 2 of our Summer Bible Reading Plan. I love the comments, texts, and emails I have received as we journey through the Bible together.

We continue to make minor changes, so we appreciate all the feedback! Your overwhelming response to reading the Bible together will bear much fruit. Thank you.

This week, we are continuing through chapter 14 in Matthew.

Be sure to tag @trinity_online or use the #tcbiblereading on all your social media accounts so we can encourage one another.

Blessings,

Pastor Jim

Extra Reading:

If you want to read more, I encourage you to read one chapter of Psalms and Proverbs each day. There are 31 Proverbs (wisdom for every day of the month!) and the Psalms are beautiful, transparent writings by King David that will uplift your soul and your heart, whether you are feeling discouraged or full of joy! A mentor once told me, “I read a Psalm every day for my spirit and I read a Proverb every day for my mind.” I read these daily to pray for favor with God (Psalms) and favor with man (Proverbs).

This week, we are starting in the 8th Chapter of Proverbs and the 8th Chapter of Psalm!

“Obey my commands and live! Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes. Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart.”
Proverbs 7:2-3

“Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.”
Psalm 37:4

Weekly Prayer:
I thank you that you are a good and loving Father, giving me all that I could ever need. Please help my desires to line up with Yours. Teach me how to stay persistent in my prayers to You, believing that You hear me and want good things for my life. Please open up doors for me to walk through that no man can shut. Bless my relationships, my place of work, and my health. Please fulfill the dreams and desires that You have placed inside of my heart, and help me to know how to pursue them in a way that glorifies You. Help me to seek You in all that I say and do. I pray You will be honored in my life, today and always. Amen.
(Prayer from Matthew 7:7-8)

Weekly Memory Verse(s):

Lord, Your name is so great and powerful! People everywhere see your splendor.
Your glorious majesty streams from the heavens, filling the earth with the
fame of Your Name! Psalm 8:1
Daily Prayer:
Dear Lord, I thank you for today. I thank you for my blessed life! Help me to be intentional about spending time with You, reading Your Word, and praying each day. Help me to make spending time with You a daily priority. Please take away all distractions and help me to focus on You alone. I want to know You more, I want to be like You, and I want to understand Your ways. Please give me a deep desire for your Word and help me to remember it when I need it most. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
