Dear Girl Scout Family,

Sweet summertime!

Thank you for making Girl Scouts a special part of your summer.  Here's a recap of some of the fun things happening right now ...

  • Petal Power: our newest program for girls starting kindergarten or grade 1 in the fall, this "by mail" program includes activities for girls to do with a special adult. Girls get together in the fall with a special party to celebrate! There are 75 girls participating. It's not too late to join the fun ...
  • Troop camp: caring volunteers share time with girls in the great outdoors. Sessions happening through mid-August. Join us for one day or a whole week ...
  • Resident Camp & Wilderness Canoe Tripping: girls learn life skills and develop confidence as they explore the world outdoors - watersports, hiking, horseback riding, and more ...
  • Day Camp: girls explore activities outside during the day and return home each evening. There are 12 council-sponsored day camps happening this summer ...
  • Parades and community festivals. So far this summer, more than 6,000 "I'm a fan of Girl Scouts" fans have been assembled and distributed at parades and community festivals. Thanks to everyone for getting the word out about Girl Scouts! Are you participating in a community event where you can help us spread the word about Girl Scouting? To order, contact your regional marketing specialist or reply to this E-mail ... Fans are free but require some assembly.
  • "Rainy day" activity ideas for girls:
    • Visit the Girl Scouts for girls website for games, activity inspirations for next year, and travel opportunities.
    • Earn a badge from the Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting ... or make your own badge!
    • Make placemats or cards to share with those in need ...

We're glad you're a part of our Girl Scout family!
