Greetings!

Monona Academy of Dance has relocated to a beautiful new space and I am thrilled that it is Dance Wisconsin's new home too!  In this addition of our newsletter, we will share information about our new space/location, alumni updates, and upcoming Dance Wisconsin events and performances.

Moving to a new studio space has been exciting, daunting, and at times exhausting.  It has been inspiring and emotional.  I would like to sincerely thank each person whom has helped us during the process.  Dancers and parents have packed up and transported items, painted, removed nails, stacked flooring, tiled, dry walled, and more. I have learned how to use power tools, choreograph my way around Menards, and find ways to laugh even while hauling hardwood flooring to and from dance spaces.  Ken Bruce, Lisa Bruce, Sydney Bruce, Mike Knierem, Vince Bradley, Beau Christiansen, Cindy Anderson, Vestin Family, Brian Zweifel, Peter Schmitt, Cheri Rumph, and Kathy McCaughey---THANK YOU!  I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the time, effort, and hard work you have put in.  This issue is dedicated to all that make Dance Wisconsin and Monona Academy of Dance viable.  The generous support of our amazing volunteers and donors have brought our  gorgeous new studio to fruition.

Dance Wisconsin wishes you all a relaxing and enjoyable summer.

Celebrate 70 Years of Dance!

Want to relive memories from productions dating back to 1983, and support Dance Wisconsin at the same time?  JoJean has a collection of videos that will happily be converted to DVD format upon request.  Suggested donation is $50.

JoJean and volunteers removed and transported maple hardwood flooring piece by piece from the old studio to the new.  Commemorate 70 years of Monona Academy of Dance history by purchasing a dated and signed piece of flooring.  Suggested donation $20. Please contact us at (608) 221-4535 or dancewisconsin@gmail.com for more information.
