Do you think the weather is going to settle down, now that it's May? We've made so many plans for outdoor adventures, starting in June, that the warm weather can't come quickly enough!

With some extra experience with field trips through the Spring, the kids and teachers are all practiced up, and ready to roll out with our new Summer Field Trip Program. We're planning one trip a week, during the afternoons through the summer. The kick off trip is happening on Friday, June 6, out to do a tour of the Vancouver International Airport.

The mornings at Buddings are also getting fuller and fuller, and setting up activities from 10 - 12 has become a top priority. There are Morning Circle times, Dance and Yoga classes, and the best snacks ever!

With all that going on, it seems like a great time for the return of our famous seasonal sale. This summer, it's Buy 3, Get 1 FREE! You know how it works: buy your hours for the summer months by May 24, and get hours for September for FREE.

We're also pleased to reconnect with our educator extraordinaire, Johanna Peters, who has been taking the special connection-based philosophy she developed with us at Buddings out into the world.

The days are getting longer, but there's still so much to cover! Let's get to it!

Big Kids Abroad - Buddings Summer Field Trip Program!

We've been talking about it for years, and practicing over the spring. This summer, we're finally ready to take our fun-loving preschoolers out into the wider world. It's Big Kids Abroad!

We've researched and scheduled a fantastic field trip every week through June, July, and August, and we're so pleased to announce the launch of this exciting new element to the Big Kids' Club.

From New West, to Lynn Valley, touring the Vancouver International Airport, and visiting the bunnies at Jericho Beach, the Buddings Field Trip Program is a FREE addition to our popular program for preschoolers.

To participate, check the calendar and choose your trips. They run once a week, on a rotating basis Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 1 - 5pm, and all you have to do is book the entire 4 hour block. More information will be available about specific trips as they approach, and if you have questions, email Talia

Mornings are Awesome!

Our new team is really starting to gel, with Jayme, Talia, and Denet creating some great circle time activities in the mornings, and Jen firmly in position at the helm of the Big Kids' Club. As you may have noticed, our 10 and 11 'o clock spots are among the busiest hours of our day, and it's been a big priority for us to keep those kids safe, happy, and fully engages.

Jayme's done a post about our developing Morning Circles, and we're so excited to introduce our new Thursday feature, Dancing with Denet! Our girl Denet has been expanding our understanding of the world, by introducing new holiday traditions and foods, and starting this Thursday, she'll soon have everyone on their toes!

In the meantime, check out her blog post about Cinco de Mayo!

Where in the World is Johanna Peters?

Back from Mexico, and adjusting herself to life after Buddings, Johanna is continuing her quest to bring breath and connection to kids and families.

Check out her guest post on Lush Cosmetics' site about keeping our heads, and staying connected.

She's also returning to Buddings as our all-star Teacher on Call, and will be helping out over the summer, covering the staff holidays, helping out with our busy mornings, and most importantly, keeping the kids collected and connected on the field trips all summer long.

PS... Hey! Her Lush profile picture looks familiar! ;)
