Employment/Hiring Process

Many people have requested information about our hiring process. Below is information on our procedures regarding employment at WVCS.

1. Post job openings: We make all positions public by posting jobs on our school web site and internet employment web sites.

2. Collect applications: We will accept applications for all posted positions throughout the year.

3. Interview: All staff employees are interviewed by the administration and the hiring practice of faculty will involve two interviews with at least two people from school administration.

4. Fingerprinting: All staff and faculty are required to be fingerprinted. Our Human Resource department oversees the results of the background check. This year we have had over 8 new employees fingerprinted.

5. Christian Faith: Though we welcome families of all faiths, we only hire faculty and staff who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior and believe the Bible to be true. Employees are required to be born again Christians who will support West Valley Christian Church's statement of faith.

Instructional resources will improve your child's skill gaps based on individual assessment data.  WVCS teachers focus on the skills most important to lifelong academic success: reading, writing, and mathematics. Whether your child is a straight-A student or in need of remediation, he or she will receive one-on-one attention from teachers who specialize in making learning fun. Part of each day is devoted to group work and learning stations. Teachers meet with small groups to differentiate and individualize the learning experience. When students are not working with the teacher in their small group, they rotate among a variety of learning stations that reinforce the daily lessons, promote independence, and encourage problem-solving.

About our High School

What is "blended education" and why more and more high schools and colleges adopting this format?

We approach academics in a blended learning environment led by highly qualified teachers, using the most advanced, web based curriculum available, and utilizing a one to one tablet per student ratio. With full technical support 24/5, students work at a personal pace and may     continue with their academic and technology needs on campus or off.  Our blended education also allows students to go to school together to create memorable high school social    experiences including homecoming games, formals, student leadership training and life long friendships.  High school students will develop social skills as they attend school daily with traditional bell schedule, teachers that guide them through online curriculum and other elective classes such as PE, choir, art and CIF sports.  The blended educational model allows scheduling flexibility to hire professionals and experts to daily teach students the skills and tools used by industry leaders.  An added value, in conjunction with DeVry University, we offer the Dual Credit University program to prepare students for high school graduation and study toward a bachelor's degree or master's degree.  Since our school is WASC accredited, NCAA approved and our curriculum is regionally accredited through NCA CASI and NWAC our graduates will be competitive towards college admission any where in the world.

To encourage current WVCS families to register for the WVC Carnegie High School, we are offering a tuition cost of $2000.00.  $325 is due by May 1st.   Contact Principal:  Send Dr. Hardy an email
