Thank you for supporting Summit Elementary PTA. Summit STRONG 2017 was a record breaking success. Summit students raised over
$41,000. We want to give a special thanks to our volunteers and all our local sponsors for making Summit STRONG a huge success. Most importantly, we want to thank our extended Summit family, we had donations from across the country and even out of the country. It is only through the generosity of our Summit families that we are able to provide great activities for the students and support for our teachers and staff.

SUMMIT READS TUTORING PROGRAM
2017-2018
Summit Reads is one of many intervention programs used at Summit to help students become better readers. Summit Reads is a program that trains volunteers to work with children in a one-on-one setting during the school day. At Summit, the program is open to students in Kindergarten through 3
rd
grade.
Please give some thought to volunteering for this worthwhile program. If you can spare 40-60 minutes a week to read with a few children, we’d love to have you as a Summit Reads Tutor. You can pick the day(s) and time(s) that work best for your schedule. A short training session will be held Thursday, October 12
th
and tutoring sessions will begin October 16
th

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 20
th
from 7-9pm. The boys and their moms or special adult are going to have an amazing time at Boys Game night! Upstairs in the Gym they will bounce like crazy, while down in the cafeteria they can test their skills with 'minute to win it' games. We'll need help with set-up, clean-up, refreshment table, running games, etc., and donations to make up some cool prizes for a mom and son date night, so please check out the sign up below. Consider asking extended family members and friends to volunteer to help give our boys and moms a night to remember!

Each year a DVD is created with photos of our 6th grade class throughout their years at Summit Elementary. Please help us collect some of the precious moments in their lives that you have captured on your devices. All photos must be taken during Summit events. Please focus your attention on K-1st grade for now. Of course, if you find other years, submit them, too.
