Be on time so you are sure to catch rising conscious hip hop star Sol Doc aka Jeremy Knudsen and his inspiring music. Sol Doc, who performs regularly with reggae bands has a compelling style and meaningful lyrics which will appeal to music lovers of all stripes. He was selected to perform at 19 Broadway's Fairfax Festival After Party, the Far West Fest, the San Geronimo Music Festival and  many other venues. He has performed with Norrisman, SAGE, Mi Gaan and Junior Reid, and grew up in the Marin music scene as "second generation" Grateful Dead family. More musical announcements next week!

International award-winning photographer Garth Lenz international top award-winning photographer and TEDx sensation Garth Lenz (as seen in TIME, NYT, etc.) will join us from Canada for a special live interview and showing of some of his breathtaking Tar Sands images from his show "The True Cost of Oil". The Tar Sands are the source of the crude oil for the controversial Keystone XL Pipeline.

Learn more about zero waste, an important part of climate change solutions and Marin's goal to go zero waste by 2025 -- by playing games with Marin Sanitary Service and Conservation Corps North Bay and using the state of the art zero waste stations provided by them with support from CalRecycle and the County of Marin JPA Zero Waste Grant.

Secure valet bicycle parking will beprovided by Marin County Bicycle Coalition and a festive group ride (celebratory attire requested) will leave from The Bicycle Works at 10am, led by Bicycling, Zero Waste & Community Advocate Renee Goddard, Bicycle Works cofounder Jelani Bertoni and Mountain Bike Hall of Famer Jacquie Phelan. It's a smooth and flat ride from San Anselmo to Larkspur and these group rides are tons of fun - plan to be there!

Hats off to the Greenwood School 7th and 8th Graders who are producing Sea Party, a children's carnival within the festival with games and activities relating to coastal and watershed creatures like whales, sharks, otters, salmon, birds and more. Thanks also to students from Redwood High School, Manor School and College of Marin for getting involved!
