Worship this Sunday
Ninth Sunday after Pentecost
August 6, 2017
If only we had enough. It seems there is never enough time or enough money to do the things we'd like to do. We don't feel we have enough talent or skill to succeed. We don't have enough courage to be ourselves or enough faith to trust in God's promises. If only we had enough. Jesus reminds us today that we actually have more than enough. Just as "all ate and were filled" in the feeding of 5,000, so are we invited to eat at the table today and be filled with more than enough to live abundantly and without fear. In the midst of scarcity and feelings of inadequacy, how will we embrace this more than enough life that we have been given in Jesus Christ?
The Bible study group meets this Sunday morning. Adult Education, Sunday School, Confirmation and Teen Talk resume in September.
Retirement luncheon for Lyle Mortensen

On Sunday, August 13, we will thank God for Lyle Mortensen’s 44 years of ministry at Grace Church and School and celebrate his retirement with him and his family during worship and at a luncheon following the 11am service. Reserve your place at the luncheon here.

If you would like to contribute to a gift for Lyle, you can do so at Grace's online donation page. Use the line marked "Other" and type "Mortensen gift" in the blank box on the right. Or mail a check to Grace with "Mortensen gift" on the memo line.
