Dallas County Democratic Party
Weekly Roundup
Democratic news from Dallas County
 and beyond.
Tuesday February 14 2017
Mardi Gras Parade & After Party

Every day, we get bombarded with bad news from the White House and the state Capitol about GOP leaders putting big money and special interests before human rights and our families' needs. While protesting and resisting can get exhausting, Dallas Democrats have proven to be a force to be reckoned with - and that is something to be proud of.

Let's get together as a community, but this time in celebration, on Sunday, February 26 at Oak Cliff's 9th Annual Mardi Gras Parade! We will be giving away beads, registering voters, and reminding Dallas that Democrats are still out here fighting for each and every one of them.

All volunteers will need to be at the parade line up on West Davis St. before 4 PM, the official parade start time. Sign up to participate!

Mardi Gras After-Party

Where: Pier 247 Cajun Restaurant, 247 W Davis St, Dallas, TX 75208

When: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

What: Drink Specials, Crawfish, and DJ Spinning The Best Music

Hostesses: Audrey Moorehead, Judge Julia Hayes, Judge Amber Givens-Davis, and Judge Stephanie Mitchell

"The people united will never be divided."
Resistance and civil disobedience in 2017 requires intersectional solidarity and community organizing. An attack on some of us is an attack on all of us. We have to stand united and fight all forms of oppression during Trump's Administration.
To join the resistance, check out our growing list of local events at http://dallasdemocrats.org/home/articles/resist2017.html.
