Nate Note
Why didn't anyone at Marvel Studios consult me before moving up the date of Avengers: Infinity War by one week? I mean, here I've been planning our latest Service+Cinema Lock-In for May and the bump it up? Glad everything is working out for our trip that night to Feed My Starving Children. Registration opens soon and this time around we'll have a firm window for people to commit so we can order the exact number of tickets we need. Don't delay, be diligent in the face of registration time when it opens.

You know what hasn't changed dates? The mission trip is still July 28-August 4 and LYFE Camp is still June 24-30. Both are excellent experiences and this year we have a special bonus scholarship for teens who do both! Learn more about both experiences at our joint teen AND parent meeting this Sunday at 5:30pm followed by P-I-Z-Z-A.

Finally, we have a few other ministry events coming up you'll want to be part of, from joining the March for Life on March 24 to Good Friday on March 30 and then there's Graduation Sunday arriving on May 20. With each ministry event you will find yourself surrounded by people ready to serve Jesus. Will you join in the fun?

In Christ,
Rev. Nate Melcher
Associate Pastor
Are you part of the March 14 Walk Outs?
We had an amazing conversation about school shootings on Sunday evening. Thank you to all of the teens who participated.
If you're participating in the 17-minute school walkout at 10:00am, I want to hear from you. Let me know you're doing this so I can pray for you and let me know how else I can be helpful to you. Parents, I posted a new article from USA Today at the Church of Youth Facebook Group you might appreciate called "What parents should know about the National School Walkout."

March 11, 18, 25 - Hellbound? ( view trailer )
This 2012 documentary features preachers and teachers from all across the theological spectrum speculating on the nature of God, the existence of hell, and what does ultimate reconciliation look like. We'll watch and discuss this documentary in three parts over three nights. From Nate: "This is one of the most powerful films I've ever experienced, in terms of exploring my own faith. I'm proud to share it with you and truly hope we can have some amazing discussion!"
VT for April 8 and 15: A Time for Burning
April 8 and 15 - A Time for Burning ( view trailer )
An Oscar-nominated documentary, this behind-the-scenes look at how one Lutheran church tried to open people's hearts to their black neighbors down the street is a harrowing snapshot of 1960s America. Ultimately, it's hard to watch this film and not think about where we are today as a society. How have we grown? How do we still have such a long way to go? We'll watch and explore this over two nights.
VT for April 22, 29, May 6: Accidental Courtesy
April 18, 25, and May 6: Accidental Courtesy ( view trailer )
This fascinating documentary features Daryl Davis, a black man, befriending white supremacists and KKK members under the banner of a simple premise: "How can you hate me if you don't even know me?" We'll witness Daryl's bewildering journey into the land of racial hate and witness what reconciliation can look like. We'll view and discuss this film over three nights.
