Evaluate last year
Think about what happened last holiday season. What worked? What didn't? Apply what you learned to this year's action plan.
Prepare your staff
Make sure your staff is equipped for the expected flux of traffic and trained accordingly. If you don't think your current staff will be enough, hire now for any gaps you see. Consider temporary help.
With college students coming home this time of year looking for seasonal work the extra help shouldn't be too hard to come by.
