Sending Health & Hope to Mali
This past Tuesday, the sixteenth container of 2017 left the Supplies Over Seas warehouse and headed to Mali. The Haidara Foundation has sponsored the shipment of seven containers for Segou, Mali over the past three years! This partnership with SOS has been critical in the building and continued support of a hospital, orphanage and community clinics to serve the people of Mali.

In addition to poor access to medical care, malnutrition is a significant healthcare issue in Mali. SOS works with Love the Hungry to provide a more comprehensive solution and send pallets of nutritionally enhanced rice on the containers along with medical supplies and equipment. TOGETHER WE ARE CHANGING LIVES!
Health & Hope Breakfast 2017
The 2nd annual Supplies Over Seas Health & Hope Breakfast provided an inspiring morning to over 270 attendees at The Olmsted. Keynote speaker, Dr. Bethany Hodge, shared powerful stories about her mission trips to Tanzania and gave moving testimony about how something as small as hospital socks can change the lives of people in need.

SOS was honored to have a Nigerian Delegation visiting Louisville and was able to attend the breakfast. Dr. Mohammed Bello Kawuwa, Commissioner of Health for Yobe State of Nigeria spoke about his homeland and the desperate need for aid in rebuilding hospitals destroyed by the Boko Haram. Attendees also heard from SOS board member, OJ Oleka, who shared his own personal story and connection to SOS as the son of Nigerian immigrants.

Thank you to everyone that came out to support Supplies Over Seas or to learn more about our important mission. A special thank you to our events sponsors: Delta Dental of Kentucky , GLMS Foundation and Passport Health Plan.
