The Save Ethnic Studies has for the past two and half years fought against the racist
Arizona HB 2281legislation that makes it illegal to teach to Mexican American Studies in Arizona. That battle has reached a critical point. The newly formed national Tucson Freedom Coalition emerging from a successful Tucson Freedom Summer needs your help to carry this struggle forward. The money donated over the past two years has made it possible to carry the legal fight forward to the Federal level.

Friday, October 12 (Dia De La Raza) this fall will be a historic day. Save Ethnic Studies and the Tucson Freedom Coalition are calling for a national day of solidarity and fundraising. The past two years have seen a concentrated effort on the part of the local Tucson community. The benefit of this struggle is that WE CAN WIN! The possibility of reversing this racist legislation is real thanks to the support of the national community made up of people like you.
