If you ask the average early childhood professional to name the greatest barrier to classroom management, most would say: challenging behaviors!
We have heard your requests for more workshops addressing this important topic, and we are responding.
"The Psychology Behind Challenging Behaviors" is a unique workshop that blends psychology and early childhood to help participants understand why children (and adults) behave the way they do.
This session takes a deep dive into classroom behavior, looks at how the brain develops and influences behavior, how children develop negative core beliefs and the resulting self-protecting behaviors that develop, and typical reasons why children misbehave.
Teachers will walk away with a better understanding of why children do what they do as well as insights into their own reactions. Participants will also learn concrete strategies to help children through challenging behaviors, which will help them feel better equipped to handle the children in their classrooms.
This workshop will be presented by Dr. Jenni Jacobs on April 10 from 6-9 p.m. at the 4C for Children Training Center, 525 W. Fifth St., Suite 102, Covington, KY 41011.
