New Skills and Credentialing Tool
 
Surge is pleased to be releasing our new Skills and Credentials Tracking Tool on September 8th, 2017.
 
This new tool will replace the existing skills tool and will have many new features including certificate management, competency and renewal alerts. Our multi-site customers will find that skills tracking will now be available throughout the entire organization.

Education Highlights
 
We are pleased to announce that we will be releasing the following presentations in the next few months:
  • Two modules on WHMIS - General Requirements with the focus on the 1988 general requirements, and WHMIS 2015.
  • A four part series on Cultural Competence with the focus on promoting cultural awareness and competence, and how this provides for culturally safe care.
  • An updated module on Concerns, Complaints and Compliments

Programming Updates

Here are some new features added recently:
  • Policy Professional has had enhancements around notifications, custom headers and other policy management improvements.
  • Reports now show chapters in courses that are bundled together
  • Users can now have two supervisors
  • Required Education Completion is now available in grid format reports
New features being added in next release:
  • Mobile enhancements to my courses and take test (so it works better on phones)
  • Flash detection on take course (set per course)
  • Setting to disable usernames being changed in My Profile
  • Add chapter view to Required by Department report
  • Utilization report now shows optional and recommended
  • Required Course Completion grid now shows N/A (instead of no) if the course is not required for that user
  • Add course length to Required Course Completion report (as a custom column)
  • StaffScheduleCare integration - can disable synced fields
  • Settings has a new look (tabs for the two sections)

 We also added some other new functionality and some small fixes that can all be found under "Version Release" in our Help section.
