It's a Hall of Fame Weekend!
In the annals of Weekend Entertainments, this promises to be an award winning couple of days!
There are so many unique and diverting activities, productions and promotions scheduled, you're likely to have some very hard choices.
For instance, there are the Fireman's Festival, Irish Festival, and the Bluegrass Festival. There's the Boilermaker Jazz Band, The Justice League, Stone Soup, the NYS Music Festival, the Heritage Blues Quintet, Randy Miritello and John Scarpulla, the Mark Lubell Trio, Lobo Marino, and Catherine Russell. There are productions of Madame Butterfly, Carousel, Joseph and the Amazing Technocolor Dreamcoat, the Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns, and Tartuffe by Moliere. There's the Fair on the Square, Laurens Community Day, the Sidney Summer Arts and Music Festival, the Hobart Horseshoe Festival, the Catskill Forest Festival; the Cooperstown Blues Express, a Civil War re-enactment, a circus, the Chenango Summer jam... (gasping for air...)
And the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Doubleday Field, and the Clark Sport Center and various locales around Cooperstown have a little something going on, too! Congratulations to the 2014 inductees: Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Frank Thomas, Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa and Joe Torre!
It's a Hall of Fame Weekend, for sure!
Enjoy! Have a great week.
We'll see you next Friday.
