We've Got
Playoff Baseball!!

That's right!

The Oneonta Outlaws have been on a tear for the past month and have muscled their way into the NYCBL playoffs!

In fact, they blasted through the first round (handily beating the Cortland Crush) and on Wednesday night (after this calendar went "to bed") played host to Syracuse for the Eastern Division Championship.

This round is a best of three, so if the winner isn't determined after the first two games, the third and deciding game will be in Oneonta's Damaschke Field.
Keep your eyes open for updates on our web sites, and follow the Outlaws on facebook for details.

If you're a baseball fan, you won't want to miss this opportunity to root, root, root for the home team.

Of course, there's lots more than baseball going on this weekend.
Check out the calendar below for details.

As for us...
We'll see you at the ballpark!!

Have a great weekend.

We'll see you next Thursday.

NBT Bank Summer Concert Series: Eric Lindell
Eric Lindell performs music that is as at home on your front porch on a summer evening as it is in a hot sweaty club on a Saturday night. It is southern soul music, infused with R&B and a touch of New Orleans funk. It is blues music, glazed with a taste of country. He has been recording and performing his brand of Americana music for over 20 years. It is simple, heartfelt song writing; melodic guitar solos and an energized live performance.

Candide
Does everything happen for the best? Not according to Voltaire's satirical novella, which offers a dizzying display of human depravity, with a couple of natural disasters thrown in for good measure. Funny, fast-moving and philosophical, Candide includes such classic tunes as " The Best of All Possible Worlds," "Glitter and Be Gay" and Make Our Garden Grow." This period production is a co-production with Opéra National de Bordeaux and Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse.

The Country Wife by William Wycherley
This bawdy and rollicking Restoration comedy is populated by a wildly entertaining cast of characters. The plot - told in familiar, lucid prose dialogue, not verse - moves from delicate love story to marital tumult to outrageous scandal. In this 17th century classic, Wycherley satirizes the hypocrisy of society's elaborate game of seduction and marriage. As always, admission at FSC is free (donations gratefully accepted) Reservations are recommended.

Ray Bonneville is a poet of the demimonde who didn't write his first song until his early 40s, some 20 years after he started performing. But with a style that sometimes draws comparisons to JJ Cale and Daniel Lanois, this blues-influenced, New Orleans-inspired "song and groove man," as he's been so aptly described, luckily found his rightful calling.

"The Audience"
For sixty years Elizabeth II has met each of her twelve Prime Ministers in a weekly audience at Buckingham Palace-a meeting like no other in British public life. Both parties have an unspoken agreement never to repeat what is said. Not even to their spouses. The Audience breaks this contract of silence and imagines a series of pivotal meetings between the Downing Street incumbents and their Queen. From Churchill to Cameron, each Prime Minister has used these private conversations as a sounding board and a confessional-sometimes intimate, sometimes explosive. In turn, the Queen can't help but reveal her own self as she advises, consoles and, on occasion, teases.

Young Love, Young Death - The Haunting of Hyde Hall
Many people have passed through Hyde Hall over the years-five generations of the Clarke family and their friends and servants-each with their own history of love and loss. Some of them never left, or so say the legends that have grown up over the last 150 years around the venerable pile of stone that took George Clarke almost 20 years to finish. The 2015 edition of The Haunting of Hyde Hall spotlights three family members and one family friend whose lives ended tragically. This popular series of evening tours is offered August 4th and 11th, at 6:00pm and 7:00pm. Enter through Glimmerglass State Park. Tours are limited in number, so reservations are recommended.
