For those Seeking a Unique and Memorable Weekend of Entertainment...
Things are Looking Up!

The annual City of the Hills Art & Music Festival will brighten many a day (and wall) this Saturday in Oneonta.  There'll be food, music and vendors galore in the Dietz Street parking lot, just behind CANO.

There's also a Harvest Festival in Cooperstown that day and a Hollywood-themed Dog Show benefit at SUNY Delhi!
(RUFF choices.)

Later that night, there's theater...
"Hair," "Heroes" and "Death Valley: A Love Story."

And as always, there's music, music and more music.

Then on Sunday...
Explore the long forgotten upper floors of Oneonta's Main Street during the second annual "Looking Up!" tour.
If you didn't take part last year, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss!
Plus - Many merchants and restaurants will be open and offering special discounts and incentives.

It's going to be a memorable weekend!

Enjoy!

We'll see you next Friday.

Heroes
It's 1959. Somewhere in France in a home for retired WWI veterans, our 3 heroes are hatching a plan to escape their assisted living facility (and the head nun running it). Maybe part of the plan is one last chance to chase after the French girls they remember, presuming they can stay awake long enough to complete their plan. Maybe their final destination will be...Indochina? The localvillage? Or maybe just to the grove of poplars at the top of the hill?

Looking Up!
Will be held on Sunday September 14 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, sponsored again this year by Greater Oneonta Historical Society (GOHS) and Main Street Oneonta (MSO). Last year more than 300 people participated in this inside look at downtown venues. GOHS executive director Bob Brzozowski says, "Looking Up ticket holders can visit a dozen downtown venues at their own pace, and get an insider's look at Oneonta's past, present, and future. Last year, Looking Up meant looking at downtown's under-utilized upper floors. This year, Looking Up reflects that things are "looking up" for downtown Oneonta - ground floors, upper floors, even a basement or two!" Tickets are on sale at the History Center, the Green Earth, the Green toad, and the Plains at Parish Homestead. Same day tickets will be sold at noon at the history center. Tickets are $8 or $5 for GOHS members, MSO members, and students.
