Love is in the air!

Wildlife sightings and beautiful sunrises are just a few of the many reasons to fall in love with the Sebastian River Area. This is a great time of year to spot various wildlife while aboard a scenic pontoon boat or kayak tour through the Indian River Lagoon and St. Sebastian River or a guided airboat tour through the Stick Marsh. We have several Boat Tours & Captains with tons of local knowledge and expertise to show you a great time out on the water. For the landlubbers, you can view wildlife on land with the FREE Pelican Island Wildlife Tours or enjoy the 1st Annual Ride to Remember while Horseback Riding through the Countryside Trails of Fellsmere. There are plenty of other sweet events to enjoy this month such as Evening Concerts, a Stage Play, Arts & Craft Shows, and Farmers Markets. Have a lovely February!

1st Annual Ride to Remember

The Florida Equestrian Foundation is proud to present the first annual Ride to Remember, a 25K charity ride to benefit Equine Assisted Therapy programs for our nation's veterans with PTSD, TBI's and depression. The day will start with a 25K mounted ride through the countryside trails of Fellsmere, followed by family fun event including food, drinks and entertainment.

Lately, Dr. Sanders has been experiencing some senior moments herself. Could they be symptoms of something more serious? Senior Moments is a comedy/drama. As a stage play it is entertaining, educational and thought-provoking.

Join knowledgeable Rangers for a guided kayak/canoe tour from Campbell's Cove near the Sebastian Inlet.  Learn about the Indian River Lagoon and the plants and animals that call it home. Participants can bring their own kayak or reserve one from the Inlet Marina for a rental fee of $20.00/2-hours, for a single or double watercraft, life jacket(s) and paddles included.  Personal watercraft pay a launch fee of $3.00. Program status is dependent on weather conditions so please call ahead to verify status.

County's Chambers Partner for Travel to Ireland

The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce is announcing a 9-day Ireland tour for members and area residents. The trip is scheduled for the spring of 2014.

  

In April, Chamber and community members are invited on this unique travel opportunity to immerse themselves into the culture and history of the Emerald Isle.  Tour price is $2,999 per person (double occupancy) and includes round trip airfare from Orlando, first class hotel accommodations, 11 meals, professional tour escort, baggage handling, sightseeing and admission to all attractions per itinerary.
 

Chamber Explorations, a group travel provider specializing in working with Chamber's of Commerce throughout the United States, will oversee the planning and arrangements for this trip which will feature Dublin, Killarney and Limerick.

Highlights of the trip include a unique one-night castle stay in Dublin's 11th-century Clontarf Castle. Clontarf is one of the city's top castle hotels and while set in ancient architecture, the hotel accommodations offers 21st century amenities.

 

The trip includes picturesque villages and tours of heritage sites such as Blarney Castle, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Muckross House & Gardens, and a medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle.
