Swift To Hear! 1/6/16
James 1:19 (KJV)
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
A COMPANION Verse to the above is:
Proverbs 29:11 (KJV)
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
WE see the TRUTH of these wise Words in the life of the mighty man of war, Samson:
Judges 16:17 (KJV)
17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
Please note that he "TOLD HER ALL HIS HEART!"
I have OFTEN taught and preached on the wonderfulness of "INTIMACY!"
EVERYONE wants to be loved and love freely and completely, but I have also warned:

That thought, dream or action freely given to another can and will be used as a weapon against YOU if things turn sour!!!"
And yes, it IS hard to know "when to hold them and when to fold them!!??"
Our Lord and Savior taught us:

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
As an EXHORTER, I too often "open mouth/insert foot!"
Sometime ALL of us are guilty of offering solicited AND UN-solicited advice from ignorant and non-existent experience.
We have NOT "been there, done that and/or bought the T-shirt!"
HOWEVER we offer our advice/opinion.
Sometimes our best advice can and should be silence or "I don't know."
My mother was sadly wrong when she taught me:

STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK YOUR BONES BUT WORDS WILL NEVER HURT YOU!"
OUR words DO have consequences!
A wise woman once told me:

DO MORE/SAY LESS!"
I can still see the eyes of a man gazing in his rear view mirror as I boldly declared these words from the back seat:

When I get home, I'm gonna...............................!!!!!!"
Coldly, he declared I would not do anything-and he was right!!!
The Apostle Paul instructed the Philippians to "work out your OWN salvation with fear and trembling!"
Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
The big question is "IF."
If WE "WILL hear His Voice!?"
