Swindell Set to Join CJB Motorsports for Limited Schedule

TELFORD, PA. - June 10, 2015 - CJB Motorsports is pleased to announce that Sammy Swindell will be coming on board to pilot a second CJB Motorsports car at all of the high profile races this season including the King's Royal, Williams Grove Summer Nationals, Knoxville Nationals, National Open, and World Finals with a few other races possible, according to team manager Barry Jackson. Swindell will join CJB Motorsports after he completes his commitment to Jason Johnson Racing.

"Sammy is looking to run a limited schedule and we have been building our program for a while towards running a second team in the future so the timing is right and I can't think of a better fit. We tried the two car deal a couple years ago and were not successful because we were not prepared correctly as a team and it was during our first full season on the World of Outlaw trail and our first car (the 51) required all the attention. This time will be different! Chad Clemens has provided us with an exceptional amount of equipment and we have had the time to do it right," said Jackson. "CJB builds and develops a lot of their own equipment and bringing Sammy on board will be a big plus in that development," says Jackson.

"I can't wait to work with Sammy in that department. He is a great sprint car driver but he also has a ton of expertise and knowledge about the mechanical aspect of these cars and motors. He also has that ability to bridge that gap between what he feels in the seat to the mechanical side. One thing I am certain of, our research and development just hit a different gear. Sammy will make me better, make my team better, and together we will make our entire program better which in turn will add to the success of the 51 team."

"We are very pleased with the success that the #51 team has had with Paul McMahan. He is a great driver, a model of consistency, proving that with two consecutive 3rd place finishes in the ultra competitive World of Outlaw points series as well as 13 victories since joining CJB Motorsports," added Jackson. The #51 team is sitting back in the points standings where they don't want to be at this point in the season due to some unfortunate racing luck and some uncharacteristic inconsistency but is poised to turn that corner and make a run. "We have been in the wrong place at the wrong time a few times, we have had a couple parts failures, and have given McMahan bad cars a few nights. All those things have buried us, but we also have the speed with the third best win total and top five total in the series. I am quite confident that we worked through all of that and are ready to start posting one good finish after another and getting back on our game. We look to have a lot of success with both of our cars," said Jackson. Sammy's first scheduled race in the CJB Motorsports #1 car will be at the famed Eldora Speedway the night before the Kings Royal. Further details will be released in the coming days."
