On Saturday, we will have our 21-Day dry-aged ANGUS BEEF....all the cuts will be available...from tender FILET MIGNONS, Ribeyes, New York Strips, Sirloins, London Broil, and Flat Iron STEAKS....our Weeping Radish Brewery famous HOTDOGS, Sausages, Ground Beef (including G. Chuck and G. Round). Oxtail, Tongue, Brisket, Heart, calves liver, Stew Beef, DOG BONES, Marrow Bones, ROASTS (Chuck Eye, Chuck, Eye of Round, Sirloin Tip), bag of soup bones, and shanks will all be in ample supply.
For your special meal, try our Leg of Lamb and Leg of Cabrito (goat). They are so delicious and a very tender cut of meat. We also have beautiful LAMB and Cabrito LOIN CHOPS, Riblets, Stew Meat, Ground Lamb, Leg slices, and bags of soup bones.

Honeygirl Meadery is a small urban meadery in downtown Durham, making an ancient craft beverage for modern days. Mead is essentially wine made from honey, with many different styles that include additions of fruits, flowers and herbs. Our meads are hand-crafted libations made in small batches, using both local and global true source honey, local fruits, herbs and flowers. They are naturally gluten free. Our downtown Durham Tasting Room is open on Fridays from 3-7 pm, Saturdays from 1-6 pm and Sundays from 1-5 pm.
This week we will be sampling: the newest release of our Orange Blossom Mead, a lightly sweet traditional mead made with orange blossom honey.
We will also be sampling our
, an infusion of fresh-dried local lavender flowers from Sunshine Lavender Farm in our orange blossom traditional semi-sweet mead.
And we will also be sampling our
, made with local strawberries and NC wildflower honey. Fresh and fragrant, light-bodied and dry, with a soft, lingering strawberry finish - pairs perfectly with champagne for a "mead-mosa!"

Chapel Hill Creamery
Tomatoes are here and so is our Fresh Mozzarella! Use Fresh Mozzarella for Caprese Salad, pizza with our Italian Sausage, or just melted on a piece of good bread with sautéed or roasted peppers. We hand stretch the mozzarella each week, so enjoy it while tomatoes are at their peak and try some different and beautiful varieties that are locally grown! All of our cheese is made from the milk of our Animal Welfare Approved herd of Jersey cows. The golden color of our Fresh Mozzarella comes from the carotene in the grass that the cows are grazing.
We'll also have Carolina Moon, similar to a Camembert, fresh Dairyland Farmers, great on a tomato sandwich, and Pheta for salads or eggplant dishes. We have two washed rind cheeses, savory Hickory Grove for snacking or great grilled cheese sandwiches and Danziger which has a softer texture with a stronger flavor. Try our Calvander, similar to an Asiago, shaved into hearty salads or for homemade pesto. It is our most aged cheese and was made last December. Paneer is on the menu at Lantern restaurant for a vegetarian tomato entrée and we will have it more often with a little going to market this first week. It is traditionally fried for Indian dishes and have a soft texture when warm and a hint of lime.
Pick up some spare ribs for grilling and some bacon for fabulous BLTs.
Sausages include Mild Italian, Smoked Andouille, Polish with mustard and garlic, Chorizo, Sage and Maple Breakfast links, and Mild Country Breakfast.
We also have ground pork. All our pork is from our pigs who drink the nutritious whey from cheese making. This makes the meat tender and the sausages are made with the hams which makes them extra meaty. We've chosen spice mixes we think you'll like for a variety of dishes. Maple Spring Gardens
How about this mild July weather we're having! I hope that you all are taking advantage of it to enjoy the out of doors a little bit. We are taking advantage of it to grow some really nice summer greens. One of the more common issues we hear from market customers is about how hard it is to find nice lettuce during the heat of the summer. Not least because this is the time of year that a nice cool crisp salad is the most refreshing! Unfortunately, lettuce really hates hot weather, and will quickly turn bitter and bolt in the typical North Carolina summer. We are able to work around this problem by growing varieties designed to accommodate the heat a little better, and by harvesting the lettuce when it is smaller and hasn't had a chance to get bitter or bolt.
In addition to lettuce we also provide a nice variety of alternative greens like arugula and pea shoots which also make a lovely salad. This week we'll also have bagged salad mix, heirloom and red tomatoes, sweet peppers, green peppers, eggplant, melons, blackberries, blueberries, potatoes, onions, carrots, sungolds, cilantro, dill, chives, basil, garlic, tulsi, handmade herbal teas, and herb infused vinegars. We look forward to seeing you there.!

Tickets for our FARM TOUR on Saturday, July 21 at 2PM are available. Get'em here! Tours take approximately 1.5 - 2hr and include a cheese tasting on the porch of our 1914 Victorian farmhouse. Most of the time will be spent playing with the goats, but we will also visit the cheese room and milking parlor. Please wear comfortable closed-toe washable shoes.

Parking & Street Information
The market is located at 501 Foster Street in the Pavilion at Durham Central Park.
Parking can be found on the street around the market, in the Ballpark Parking Lot on Corporation Street and in the Measurement Inc. lot, 423 Morris Street (look for the Durham Farmers' Market parking sign). There is a path at the bottom of that parking lot that leads you to the market. There are also public parking lots along Foster Street and on Morgan Street near the Carolina Theatre.
Handicap parking is available on Foster Street, right next to the south entrance of the pavilion.
