EATING WHOLE FOODS & GUT HEALTH

Fruits, Vegetables and Whole Grains
Are you eating plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains?  Whole foods are the most nutrient dense foods, this means that you get the most nutrients possible with the least amount of calories!  This also means that you can eat more of these foods and feel satiated sooner, as all your body's nutrient needs will be more readily met.  Today, scientists are discovering more and more on the importance of gut health for optimal health.  Not only does digestive health impact nutrient absorption, but also immunity and psychological well-being.  For more on the connection to immunity and mental health, as well as tips on improving your gut health, read  10 Ways to Cultivate Good Gut Bacteria and Reduce Depression from www.everydayhealth.com and  It's All in Your Gut!  How to Enhance Mood, Immunity and More Through Digestion from www.huffingtonpost.com.
ERGONOMICS & EXERCISE

Many of us spend a great deal of time at our desks and sitting.  Besides staying active with exercise outside of the office, it's important that we try and maintain an ergonomic work station while taking breaks and stretching.  Here are 5 Simple Stretches You Can Do At Your Desk.   Also, here is a fun Ergo Rap Video  for some tips to remember!
