Intra-University Transfer Fair scheduled for March 21

Syracuse University students thinking about transferring to another school or college within the University are encouraged to attend a unique event scheduled following spring break. The Intra-University Transfer Fair (IUT) will offer one-stop service, bringing together representatives from every school and college to help ease the process of transferring within the University.  

Need Help Choosing a Major?
Drop-In at Career Services
Is your student having trouble picking a major? The words “major” and “career” are not interchangeable. A major doesn’t lock you into a career path, but can offer many options. For help  students can visit  Career Services , 235 Schine Student Center  any time during drop-ins week to discuss a major.

Monday, March 27: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday, March 28: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Wednesday, March 29: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Thursday, March 30: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Students can schedule an appointment outside the above hours by placing a request on  OrangeLink  or by calling Career Services 315-443-3616.

Free Financial Coaching 
for Students
Free financial coaching for all students is now available at the Office of Financial Literacy. Students can take advantage of these free one-on-one sessions to discuss budgeting, saving, basic investing, student loan types and repayment, credit, and planning for life after graduation. Students can make an appointment by emailing the word “COACH” to .  

The Office of Financial Literacy is currently accepting resumes for the next class of the Coach Development Program! If students want to dive deeper into personal finance and help others learn about money management, this is the program for them. Read more details on our  Become a Coach page. The deadline for resume submission is March 15th, 2017.

Family Weekend 2017

Family Weekend, hosted by the Parents Office, is a tradition at Syracuse University.  Make your plans now to join us Oct. 13-15, 2017.

We invite loved ones and friends to take in our beautiful Upstate New York fall season and share in the richly diverse campus community that is home to your student.  The weekend will offer a chance to meet your student's dean and faculty, attend lectures on campus life, visit campus buildings; and enjoy performances by our very talented students. 

Tickets for the Friday evening football game--Syracuse Orange vs. Clemson University Tigers-- can be purchased on the student season ticket order form this summer.

Orange Central 2017

Orange Central 2017, the Syracuse University Alumni Association’s annual celebration for everyone who loves the Orange, is Oct. 5-8, 2017. Syracuse University alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends will enjoy the Arents Award ceremony, a football game against Pittsburgh, a festive tailgate on the Quad, and much more. The Office of Alumni Engagement is planning reunion celebrations for the classes of 1957, 1967, 1992, 2007, and—for the first time—a one-year reunion for the class of 2016. They’re still looking for reunion committee members from the Class of 1967. If you know anyone from that class year, contact Kate Ludwig, assistant director of affinity programs, at or 315.443.3249.
