Adult B'Nai Mitzvah Class
Adult B'nai Mitzvah classes will be held on Sunday mornings from 11-12:30, with the goal of celebrating a group Adult B'nai Mitzvah ceremony as part of a Shabbat morning service in winter 2012-13. The objective is that all students in the Adult B'nai Mitzvah class will be able to read/chant Torah/Haftarah, lead portions of the service, and participate in the preparation of a D'var Torah for this service. Our first class begins this Sunday, October 23, at 11:00 a.m. Classes will be facilitated by Rabbis Stern and Eiduson along with Cantorial Soloist Susan Glickman. We are happy to be able to provide a teen assistant(s) to keep Religious School aged children occupied while you are learning, please let Rabbi Eiduson know if this will be something that you would like to arrange. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Rabbi Eiduson.

Items of Note:
- Israel Trip has been canceled. Unfortunately after many attempts to engage the congregation, we were not able to reach a critical mass to afford a group trip to Israel in December. Rabbi Stern would love to hear from those of you who were interested, but were not able to go. Was it the price? Was it the date? Your feedback would be very helpful. Please email Rabbi Stern with your thoughts.
- Kadima changes are coming. Beginning in November, the Kadima will move to a bimonthly publication schedule. The first edition of the new Kadima will be published in late November. The new Kadima will continue to list upcoming events, but mainly it will highlight recent TBA programs and Jewish life through photographs, reflections and occasional articles. As TBA moves forward technologically, the Tuesday email and website will be our main vehicles for providing information about future programs and registration materials. We will continue to mail invitations, High Holy Day packages and other pertinent information as needed. If you have any questions, please contact Executive Director Dan Soyer or Communications/Technology Specialst Eileen Brooks.
- Family Table needs your help. We are in need of at least 35 boxes of low sugar cereal and the canned salmon supply is completely depleted. If possible, please bring these items with you to one of the many services held this week at TBA.
- JF&CS Jewish Healing Connections Bereavement Support Group. This 8-week long group begins meeting on Wednesday, October 26, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Jewish Family & Children's Service, 1430 Main Street, Waltham. The group is offered at no cost through the generosity of the George and Beatrice Sherman Family Charitable Trust.Pre-Registration is required.
