Pastor Tom's Note
"Honor Everone?"
Peter’s words, “Honor everyone, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the emperor [literally ‘king’]” (1 Peter 2:17), seem impossible to follow. What do you mean, honor everyone?!? Even the emperor?!?. How could Peter say that? After all he himself would die at the hand of Emperor Nero’s persecutions of Christians in A.D. 64.

In our culture where the virtue of honor (‘great worth,’ ‘respect’) seems in short supply, what does that mean to “honor everyone”?

Faith Promise Sunday - Next Sunday, November 19
Next week, everyone on the TCC mailing list will receive a stewardship packet outlining the budget for 2018.

Also included in the mailing, you will find a Faith Promise Card, which we ask all members and regular attendees to fill out and bring with them on Sunday. Faith Promise cards are non-binding estimates of your planned contributions.

Please take time to seek the Lord prayerfully, and honor Him with a tithe of what He has given to you.

Missions and Outreach
Angel Tree Ministry
The Angel Tree will be on display in our lobby beginning this Sunday, November 12.

What is Angel Tree? Angel Tree is a Prison Fellowship program that TCC has participated in for many years.

In a wonderfully practical expression of Christ’s love, Angel Tree provides Christmas gifts to the children of incarcerated parents, and, in turn, it provides opportunities for incarcerated parents to reach out to their children.

Angel Tree has been effective in opening hearts to receive the most important “Gift” of all, which is salvation and forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ.

Can you help? If you would like more information on this program or could help with gift delivery, please contact Jim Santamaria at
508-358-7821 or  hermits@comcast.net
