The 2018 TECNA Summer Conference in Des Moines, Iowa, will feature engaging sessions and several best practices case studies on the critical challenges facing our tech councils.

The Conference
The TECNA Summer Conference is an event focused on sharing of best practices and strategies that help grow your tech council and increase your value to members, sponsors and key stakeholders in your community. This annual conference brings together the leaders and staff of tech councils and ecosystems across North America. 

 
Keynote Speaker
Ben Milne, Founder & CEO of Dwolla, will keynote the conference. Dwolla has grown to serve fast growing technology companies throughout the country, powering billions of dollars in commerce annually. Dwolla has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the world's "Most Innovative Companies" and is based in Des Moines, Iowa. For his work, Milne has been recognized by Forbes as a "Disruptor of the Year," named as one of Goldman Sachs' 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs, and honored by MIT Technology Review in its annual "Innovators Under 35" list.

Registration is now open online. Cost is $300 for all TECNA Member association staff, and $550 for Non-Members.

If you are interested in being considered as a host for a 2019 TECNA Summer Conference, please complete this brief questionnaire by Friday, June 29: TECNA Summer Conference Host Form

We ask that one designated staff person complete the form. A final decision on a hosting venue will be made at the July 24th TECNA Board meeting.

Kansas City Tech Council recently-released the annual KC Tech Specs report tracking the tech industry's progress, challenges and dynamics, compiled by the KC Tech Council and VML, demonstrating three important opportunities to grow Kansas City's tech landscape.

New Jersey Technology Council hosted the Future Forum in May illustrating innovations which will transform the future. Northern Virginia Technology Council Launches Health Tech Infographic - Over the last year, the Greater Washington region saw over $634.6 million in health tech sector funding. More health tech stats around health tech workforce and funding can be found in NVTC's newest infographic.

The Palm Beach Tech Association and Wyncode Academy are partnering to bring the first of its kind Part Time Coding Bootcamp to Palm Beach County - learn more about this program beginning in June.
