UCWDC Continuing Education Classes offered at the CDS ... You do not need to be a competitor to attend !!
These are paid classes and ARE NOT included in your event pass price.
Each class is 2 hours long and the fee per class is $ 20.00 USD per person.
You DO NOT have to be a judge or want to be a judge to attend.
4 reasons you want to attend;
1. You are a certified UCWDC Judge and you need these classes to remain certified for the year.
2. You are a UCWDC competitor and want to know what your judges are looking for as standards for all the dances.
3. You are an Avid Dancer and want to know what the dances should look like. How they should be performed what standards should be met.
4. You are a Country Dance Instructor (or Studio) and you want to provide current information to your students whether they are competitors or social dancers.

FUNdamentals "B" class covers items VI-Styling Technique, VII-Floor Craft, VIII-Choreography and IX-Musical Interpretation from the UCWDC Judge Certification Curriculum.
UCWDC Continuing Ed. #1 - "Judge Methodology"
Friday, April 27 from 12:30-2:30pm
Judge Methodology class will define the meaning of each medal, what curriculum criteria needs to be met in each division in order to award a specific medal.
Other topics include how to judge children & platinum categories, considerations for each age levels, etc. The purpose of the course is to help everyone have a clearer understanding of what message each medal sends to the competitor and to enhance the skills of our judges.
UCWDC Continuing Ed. #2 - "Movement & Musicality"
Sunday, April 29 from 3:00-5:00pm
Movement & Musicality class will examine the importance of these two concepts such that we clearly understand what each is and how to include them in your thought process while judging.
