THE COMPASS: Covenant Christian Church Newsletter
Spring is surely showing her stuff around here! Colors are popping up and out all over the place. Storms are shaking off the winter dull. Church is bubbling up with new life and activity. We had an exciting Easter Weekend, complete with an Easter Egg hunt that drew lots of interest from the community. From work days to retreat days, the church is opening its doors for your journey to take you where you can live and grow in faith. See below for more about Taize worship nearby, a picnic outing to camp for kids and families, a retreat day here for prayer and reflection and other fellowship opportunities. May your Spring days bring life and fullness to you and your family.

Family Promise (Formerly IHN)
The work of the church is expressed in many different ways. One of the ways to reach beyond our walls is to volunteer at Family Promise, a ministry to the homeless. Four times a year, Covenant partners with Urbandale United Church of Christ to house and feed the homeless. There are typically three families (12-15 people), which includes children and parents. The families are coming to UCC May 4-11 and we still need people to help prepare a meal, serve a meal, stay overnight, drive the van, do laundry, and set up/tear down the Sunday School rooms. Please contact VeeAnn,
