THE DEVIL'S PULPIT BLOWS THE MINDS OF COMPETITORS AT

THE 2ND ANNUAL BMO WORLD ELITE MASTERCARD SUMMIT

Caledon Village ON (May 21, 2015) - This week, the Tour headed to the rolling hills of Caledon, to play another favorite on the Tour schedule, the second annual BMO World Elite MasterCard Summit. Our host today, the Devil`s Pulpit is a spectacular, 315 acre, private golf club. Know as "Devil's Pulpit Golf Association", this award-winning, 36 holes facility consists of two famed tracks: the Devil's Pulpit and Devil's Paintbrush. The Tour had the privilege of playing the Devil's Pulpit, an exciting, modern golf design, providing strategic challenge set against the wondrous natural beauty of the Niagara Escarpment. Players would be treated to outstanding early season conditions: smooth greens and receptive, lush fairways but also punitive rough. Mother Nature would, once again make the going tough on the 137 competitors, who marked the date of this event early on the calendar, as a must play! Players would head to the course dressed for what was expected to be a sun filled day, only to be surprised by cool, overcast conditions. It was the 50km/h winds that would test the limits, of all players.

The GTA AM Tour would not be the success it is today, without the fantastic support of our partners who choose to sponsor the Tour. We would like to extend a huge thank you to this week's sponsor,

BMO World Elite MasterCard. We would like to remind our members what this partnership means to the Tour and more importantly you the player. Along with offering prizing for The BMO World Elite Fall Swing, BMO is proud to provide Tour players and their friends, family and colleagues with the opportunity of procuring a BMO World Elite MasterCard with no annual fee in the first year (a $150 value), plus just for singing up they will also receive $300 in travel rewards.

The GTA AM Tour is also excited to share the additional special incentives of this program. Players who apply for and receive a BMO World Elite MasterCard will receive one dozen TaylorMade golf balls. The Tour will also conduct a draw for a round of golf at Coppinwood Golf Club, hosted by Mark Young and a BMO representative. The Tour will also provide 10 preferred parking spots at each of the 2015 Tour season events for use by BMO World Elite card holders. All BMO World Elite card holders who use their card to pay for Tour expenses will, at the end of the Tour season, receive BMO Rewards points equaling 2.5 per cent of Tour charges prior to August 31, 2015 and 5 per cent of Tour charges on Fall Swing September Tour purchases. In the Championship Flight today, Joshua Hale (Georgetown, ON) made his second event of the 2015 Tour season a good one. Having finished last week in sixteenth place, Joshua turned in an impressive score of 79, the lowest round at this week's event, showing that the challenging conditions didn't affect him too adversely. To determine second and third place, card matching was used. When matching the inward nine scores, Chis Willis (Toronto, ON) took second while, Ryan Taylor (Uxbridge, ON). took third.

In The A-Flight, it would be a dedicated Tour player and Sponsor, celebrating his first Tour victory of 2015. Joshua Kingsmill (Toronto, ON) would show that he was indeed dressed correctly for the weather - in shorts crazy enough! -  to help keep his nerves ice cold! Joshua never found any trouble finishing with a round of 82, for a one stroke victory. Alone, in second, playing in his very first GTA AM Tour event, Sang Park would have an up and down day for a score of 83. To determine third place, card matching would be needed as two players turned in their cards with matching rounds of 84. When matching the back nine scores, Danny MacDonald (Turkey Point ON), took home the second place prizing while Cody Cunningham (Simcoe, ON)., took home third.

In the B-Flight, with 44 players competing in today's event, it would be the most exciting Flight to watch, as nine players were all within five strokes at the top. It would be Tour rookie, Derek Peters (Toronto ON), notching his second victory of the season, with round of 84, that would best the field by two. Alone, in second, with a round of 86, was Mike Heslin (Toronto, ON), another Tour rookie playing in his first Tour event. Finishing in third, getting his 2015 Tour season off to a great start, Tabu Van Rooyen (Midland, ON) finished his day with a round of 87.

In the C-Flight, it would be a return to the winners circle for Evan Kilimnik (Barrie, ON) earning his second win of the 2015 season. Evan played a very steady round, except on the thirteenth hole, where he would struggle through, carding a twelve, but still finished his day with an amazing round of 91. Alone, in second, Paul Martin (Aurora, ON), another Tour rookie, would make his second Tour event count, turning in a card of 45 on the front and 47 on the back for a 92. Rounding out the top three, a Tour veteran making his return to the Tour was Jon Chu (Thornhill, ON) finishing his day with a 93.

Another one of the many ways to win on Tour is Net score; this is a calculation of the all the players who did not place in the top three gross winning positions in their respective Flights. The top two Net winners at each event will receive one dozen TaylorMade golf balls and one case (24) of Mill Street beer. This week winners were Mike DiFlorio with a net 71 and Frederik Snel takes second with a 72. In addition to the season-long Gross Score, Myrtle Beach Order of Merit, players will compete for a parallel season-long Net Score Order of Merit for complete standings click on the link.

The winner of the closest-to-the-pin was Sang Park, winning a dozen TaylorMade golf balls. As in previous years, and at every event, there will be the Mazda Hole in One hole, where all players have a chance to win a $2,500 sponsor product shopping spree. The winner of the Hole in One closest to the pin contest was Doug Stewart. Along with these prizes, TaylorMade, Adams Golf and Mill Street Brewery products are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each of the four Flights. The Tour also awards a draw prize at each event for a $50 certificate redeemable at the Mill Street Brew Pub; today's winner of the Mill Street Brewery Certificate was Morgan Rubes.
