THE GRADUATE

Oscar-winner for director Mike Nichols (among seven nominations), Dustin Hoffman's star-making breakout role, with Simon & Garfunkel's score starting a new trend in soundtrack music, THE GRADUATE was a cultural touchstone of the 1960's that is as timely today as it was 45 years ago. The prophetic word "plastics" has chilling resonance, while the screenplay's skewering of our emphasis on appearances and social propriety is more relevant than ever. The iconic 1967 masterpiece returns to the big screen in celebration of its 45th anniversary for a limited time.

KILLER JOE

Based on the play by Pulitzer and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts, KILLER JOE is a garish, provocative black comedy from Academy Award winning director William Friedkin (THE FRENCH CONNECTION). Hired by failed drug dealer Chris (Emile Hirsch, INTO THE WILD) to take out his mother for her life insurance policy, the hit man sets his sights on Chris' virginal sister Dottie for collateral payment. Juno Temple, Gina Gershon, and Thomas Haden Church costar in this totally twisted, unforgettable trailer park murder story.

Freida Pinto (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) stars in this update set in contemporary India and directed by Michael Winterbottom (THE TRIP, 9 SONGS). While working at a hotel to supplement her family's income, she falls in love with the son of the wealthy owner. Despite their feelings, they cannot escape the conflicting pressures of a rural society which is changing rapidly through industrialization, urbanization and, above all, education.

BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD

A Sundance Film Festival sensation, this stunning film is destined to be one of 2012's most hotly discussed features. With an incredible cast of non-professionals, the film tells an inspiring story of survival in the southernmost marshes of Louisiana known as The Bathtub. Focusing on a resilient six-year-old girl, magnificently played by Quvenzhane Wallis, the film salutes the tenacity and camaraderie of the Bathtub dwellers. They must endure not only the ravages of nature but also the attacks of predatory creatures thawed by ice marshes. Each frame reveals director Zeitlin's fascination with the environment and his regard for human spirit.

MOONRISE KINGDOM

SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED

From the producers of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, this whimsical indie was inspired by an unusual, real-life classified ad seeking a time travelling companion. Aubrey Plaza ("Parks and Recreation") and Jake Johnson ("New Girl") star as cynical magazine employees who set out to discover the story behind the ad, uncovering an eccentric supermarket clerk (played by Mark Duplass, YOUR SISTER'S SISTER) who believes he's solved the riddle of time travel. Together they embark on a hilarious, smart, and unexpectedly heartfelt journey that reveals how far believing can take you.
