Greetings!
After a great start to the 2011 Florida poker run season, and a 67-boat roster for the Miami Boat Show Poker Run to the Florida Keys, FPC is crossing the Sunshine State to St. Petersburg, bringing back the excitement of a horsepower-charged weekend to the Tampa Bay area. The Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Marina will host this event once again, which began for this club in the late 90's when offshore racing was alive and well on these waterways.
Starting from the Vinoy Basin, the poker run course will stay primarily in the Tampa Bay area and features a lunch stopover at Jacksons in Downtown Tampa, along with checkpoints that include Sunset Grill at Little Harbor and Hula Bay Club at Tampa Harbour Yacht Club. But the fun won't just be on the water! There's plenty of action on land, including a big Street Party in downtown St. Pete on Friday evening and an elegant Saturday evening Poker Run Party hosted by VUE, one of the hottest Sushi/nightclubs in town! Then, take part in an awesome collector car showcase on Sunday, as the annual Festivals of Speed takes center stage at North Straub Park along the St. Petersburg waterfront.
Join us for this weekend that celebrates fun, sun and big horsepower, as Florida Powerboat Club returns to St. Pete! Its just three weeks away, and with hotels rooms going fast, so please don't delay. We're here and ready to help you and your crew with all your plans!
Sincerely,
Stu Jones, President
Florida Powerboat Club

As always, a helicopter crew will take flight, capturing hi-res digital photos and HD video, which will be aired later a the poker run party.
Lunch at JACKSONS in Tampa will be followed by checkpoints on bay waters, where participants will be given the opportunity to do either a card-only stop, or tie up to enjoy the atmosphere of these two popular waterfront destinations....The Sunset Grille at Little Harbor or Hula Bay Club at Tampa Harbour.
Various speed classes will be assigned, to accommodate the variety of cruising speeds, from 50mph to triple digit speeds of the big fast machines that are becoming popular in poker run circles. A mandatory captains safety meeting will be staged on Friday evening after checkin, at the VINOY.
