 Much like my dad, I love to read; and I especially love to read Science Fiction and Fantasy. As a Christian, it is difficult to find these types of books that don't focus on mythology and magic. A couple of years ago while my family was attending THSC's Convention in The Woodlands, my mom and I were browsing the Exhibit Hall, checking out all the different vendors when we noticed a booth titled "Christian Warrior Books." The author, Samuel Schiller, was manning the booth and signing books. From a conversation with Mr. Schiller, we learned of his Fantasy book series. I have read the first three books in the series - Warrior of the Son, Priests of Moloch, and The Fields of Clon Miarth. The books are fast-paced adventures, full of interesting characters, worship to God alone, and absolutely no bad language. The drawback of reading these books is the fact that my mom won't purchase the entire series at once.

Friday Night Family Fun!
After a fun, full day of Convention, bring the family and join John and Kris Erickson as they take you into the world of Hank the Cowdog, singing the songs and telling the stories you have long enjoyed in the books. Get to know Hank's "family," as the Ericksons also share from their life experiences of homeschooling their own children, creating Hank stories, and, yes, living out on a ranch.

"Ready, Set...Now What Do I Do?" led by Tim and Lyndsay Lambert is one of the Thursday evening workshops at Convention.
This workshop answers questions like: Where do I get curriculum? Do I have to make bulletin boards? How do I teach several grades at once? Do I need to have lesson plans and give grades? Do I need a lawyer? What about socialization? Exactly what is the law in Texas concerning home schooling?
Throughout Convention weekend, Tim and Lyndsay individually will host workshops such as:
