Upcoming Events and Announcements

 

1) Welcome Back Coffee: Sunday, September 7, 9:00-noon!  Welcome back coffee in the social hall, with light refreshments.  Talk to various temple groups about how you might want to be involved this year.  Stop in after Hebrew School drop-off or minyan, or before the Chaverim Club event, or just drop in any time!   


 
2) Family Shabbat & Holiday Celebrations: Here is the 2014-5 shabbat & holiday calendar, including Family Friday night dinners, youth services, and holiday celebrations.  The First Family Dinner is on September 12: special for the first dinner-- RSVP to the office by Sunday, Sep. 7 for Early Bird prices!  Youth services start on September 6 with Tot Shabbat (preschool age), Mini-Minyan (K-2) and Junior Congregation (3rd-6th grade), all revamped with new innovations!

 

3) Chaverim Club Potluck Brunch: Sunday, September 7, 10:00 AM, at Dallas & Michal Kennedy's.  RSVP to Charna Westervelt or Ali Bluestone.  For singles, couples, and parents of young children (children welcome).
 

4) Hazak Goes to the Yiddish Book Center: Sunday, September 14.  More info here! 

 

5) Parenting Through a Jewish Lens: with Rabbi Liben & Cantor Ken!

10 Sunday mornings during the year, 10:00-11:30 AM, beginning November 2, with free babysitting provided.  Engage Jewish texts and discuss how they intersect with ideas about raising Jewish children.  Here is the flyer & website.

2) Jewish Family Network's "Paddle into the New Year" on September 14

Milestones & News 

     Mazal Tov to Michael Sullivan & Yvonne Eschner, who officially joined the Jewish people this week after their respective journeys of many years.  We'll welcome them with aliyot and blessings on Sep. 20.
