GENERAL MEETING & DEMO Time Change :

Monday, December 11

6:00 pm

Our December 11 meeting featuring Nia Nakis, reknown international painter, is moved forward to 6:30 pm, instead of 7 .

Our social half hour is moved to 6:OO .

Demo:

Nia Nakis - Nia will focus on approaching a subject, whether from photo reference, sketch or life by looking at the big shapes and painting them as if they were part of an abstract painting. By avoiding details and resisting the urge to paint them prematurely, we can end up with an overall better and more harmonious design, clear focal point, clear light source an a solid, bold, representational painting.

Meeting:

Fran Goodman, Art Education Fund Chair, will be giving out our financial awards to various oirganizations. Some recipients plan to bring dignitaries from their organization to meet and mingle with our members. The evening promises to be especially exciting and fun! We look forward to seeing you there.

Anyone exhibiting at a Gallery, or doing a Show, or in an Exhibit, or having an Event or just received an Award, please email me your good news for inclusion in the Delray Art League’s next Ricki Report article.

Please reply with a brief announcement written as you would like to see it in print . NO more than one paragraph and NO pictures. However, you may provide a link to an http, website or facebook if available. Include deadline dates, expiration dates, etc. Post will be announced once unless dates are included .

Submissions must be received prior to the 1st and 15th announcements.
