CEO MESSAGE: A YEAR-END REVIEW
It has been a year of evolution and advancement. Encouragingly, we saw positive movement in the resource sector, which we hope represents the beginning of the economic recovery. We moved into our renovated headquarters, which will improve efficiencies, and entered into a partnership with Geotech Drilling, which strengthens our capability and competitiveness in resource and industrial development and recognizes Geotech as the preferred drilling company operating in Tahltan territory. Fibre installation on the Iskut extension was completed this fall, which will provide fibre optic services to current major development projects, beginning in January, through our own Tahltan Fibre. We are cautiously optimistic for the 2017 season and are embracing a renewed determination to secure new contracts for TNDC and our business partners. We'll be taking a more assertive approach to securing contracts in Tahltan territory to create a more reliable, meaningful, business, employment and contracting opportunities for Tahltan members.

SRS sponsored Andrea's three-year Red Seal apprenticeship in Culinary Arts, and she became a chef/baker. She took a break in 2005 to start a family, returning in 2012 as a chef. TNDC'S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY BRINGS JOY
Holiday cheer was in the Dease Lake air on Saturday, December 10th. Community members from Iskut to Telegraph Creek to Watson Lake and as far away Smithers and Kitimat got an early visit from Santa for an afternoon of festive fun at TNDC's 18th annual Christmas party. More than 350 children and adults turned out. This year's theme was 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'. The annual event brings tremendous delight to children and families living in our remote communities. TNDC takes pride in hosting this event each year by providing food, games, prizes and pictures with Santa. But its success relies on the generosity of our suppliers, clients and partners who donate funds and gifts, Tahltan organizations who provide support, and TNDC staff who make it happen. Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year's event
