TORC, Race Facilities and Industry Support the MORR Sportsman Racer
Abrams, Wisc. (March 22, 2017) - For the first time in MORR Sportsman Short-Course history, there will be an added purse for each weekend of racing on the 2017 TORC Sportsman race season. Discussions began just after the first of the year with all involved parties and the final agreement was in place to ensure the Sportsman off-road racer has additional financial support at every event on the calendar.
The longtime permanent short-course facilities in Crandon, Wisconsin and Bark River, Michigan have added payout for the Sportsman racer for several years and as the growth of the Sportsman group is at an all-time high, the second-year facility, Elk River Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota also offered added support its two TORC events. The return of TORC racing to Red Bud MX in southwestern Michigan will see performance parts wholesaler, Motor State Distributing add to the Sportsman race purse thanks to its partnership with MORR. The TORC Series presented by AMSOIL will also ensure a maximum Sportsman turnout at the season opening event in Joliet, IL with its own added contribution to the Sportsman payout.

"The year-long added purse along with our class sponsors and contingency plan participants will make for an incredible season for our racers as well as all the supporters of short-course off-road racing."
These agreements will ensure that every TORC Series presented by AMSOIL event will have maximum participation from PRO and Sportsman competitors alike. Over one hundred fifty Sportsman competitors create Midwest Off-Road Racing and will race alongside the TORC PRO classes throughout the seven weekends of racing.
