Join us this Sunday. Pastor Chris' sermon will be "Thanksgiving".


Tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 23) a group will gather at 9 a.m. to begin decorating the sanctuary for Advent and Christmas. We need folks to help get things out of storage, assemble the Chrismon tree, and generally help get the sanctuary ready for the Hanging of the Greens service. If you can help, just show up! We should be finished about noon. Refreshments will be provided. Contact Jerry Clement at for more information.  


On Sunday, Nov. 24, at 4:45 p.m., we'll celebrate our annual Hanging of the Greens service, followed by a potluck supper in Fellowship Hall. Bring your friends and neighbors, plus your favorite dish to share, and join us as we kick off the Advent season.


Activities and Events


Kids' Kingdom. Kids' Kingdom for children in pre-K through fifth grade, is held each Sunday from 9:20 to 11 a.m. The program is conducted in 20-minute segments that include worship, crafts, snacks and small groups. TPC Student Ministry. Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church has a vibrant Student Ministry focused on Christ-centered fellowship and promoting Christian values in an atmosphere of fun under the guidance of a team of dedicated adult leaders. holly-berry-wreath2.jpg Annual Women's Christmas Brunch. Please join us for our annual brunch, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. Food will be provided and there is no charge. Please bring a wrapped gift (max. $10) for our fun, exciting gift exchange. Please make your reservations by Dec. 8. Band of Brothers. The Band of Brothers is a Men's Bible Study and Fellowship meets each Wednesday morning, 7-8 a.m., at the Perkins restaurant (6425 University Blvd., Winter Park, FL 32792 - corner of University and Forsyth). All men of the church are welcome to share in this opportunity to study the Bible, grow in their faith and establish friendships. For more information, contact Lee Armstrong,, or Jerry Clement,



Hanging of the Greens. Join us in the sanctuary for the annual Hanging of the Greens event Sunday at 4:45 p.m. Come sing Christmas carols, help decorate our Christmas tree and kick off the Advent Season! A casual evening of coffee and conversation for all women of the church, 7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday and fourth Tuesday of every month at Panera Bread, in the shopping plaza at Red Bug Lake and Tuskawilla roads. Bring a friend. Our next gathering is Tuesday, Nov. 26. Yes, we know that's Thanksgiving week - come take a break from the holiday stress! Salvation Army Bell Ringing. Every year during the Christmas season, TPC enjoys participating in the Salvation Army's bell ringing. Saturday, Dec. 7, TPC will cover the entrance to Publix at Red Bug and Tuskawilla Rd. from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Two-person teams will work in two-hour shifts collecting donations to aid the Salvation Army in the great work they do in the name of Christ. Praying Hands Silent Prayer Hour. You are welcome to come to the Sanctuary for a special silent prayer hour each Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. For one hour, the Sanctuary doors will be open to anyone who wants to come in and meditate silently, reflect and listen for God's whispers. Learning Opportunities


Open Forum to Study Luke's Gospel. In December, the Open Forum Adult Class will begin a new study using Luke's Gospel From Scratch: The New Testament for Beginners, written by Donald Griggs (retired professor) and Paul Walasky (current professor) at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond. Class discussions will explore Luke's unique birth stories, his emphasis on Jesus' healing and parables, and his narrative of the last week of Jesus' life. Come join us for this new study. Giving Opportunities


christmas.jpg Christmas in the City. - Christmas in the City is an annual event put on by the HopeHelps, a 501(c)3 organization and OneBody, a coalition of churches in the Oviedo area including TPC. The event takes place on Sat., Dec. 14 at University Carillon United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a shared meal, all the ingredients for a Christmas dinner, toys, socks & underwear, clothing, shoes and a portrait all gift wrapped for the needy children in the South Seminole area whose parents register with the Sonshine Pantry and Thrift Store (407-366-3422) by the deadline. The community is invited to enjoy a meal, entertainment, kid's activities and prayer at the event.

Yarn Donations for the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The Prayer Shawl Ministry needs yarn for more shawls. Your donations of yarn or gift cards (Michael's, Jo-Ann's, Hobby Lobby or other stores selling yarn) would be a blessing to the ministry. The ministry has relied on donated yarn and is about to run out. Thank you for your support of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Stephen Ministry


Stephen Ministers provide confidential, one-on-one Christian care. A minister will meet with you weekly to provide support and encouragement.
