Special instructions: Special instructions: Comfortable clothes for working in the heat, long sleeves and long pants if you can stand it and closed toed shoes. Sensitive skin has a tendency to become irritated when walking through dense corn fields. It is going to be HOT on Monday, so please wear something breathable.

Directions to: SOERGEL ORCHARDS-Welsh Road Connoquenessing, PA (N. of Evans City)
Scenic Route: 1. Follow Rt. 79 N to Exit 83 (Evans City Exit). At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Rt. 528 North. 2. At the T intersection, make a right to stay on Rt. 528 North. Follow into the town of Evans City. 3. Make a left after you pass through downtown Evans City to stay on Rt. 528. (it becomes a small side road, called either N. Franklin or Prospect Rd). 4. Continue on Rt. 528 North for about 6 miles-you'll see a sign for Connoquenessing Township. 5. Make a right onto Shannon Road. 6. Go about 50 feet and make a right onto Welsh Road. 7. Follow Welsh Road for about 0.25 miles-you'll pass a farm on the left and some houses on the right. 8. About 1,000 feet past the last house, look for a driveway under a big tree. Pull into the driveway and look for the Food Bank truck.
Highway Route: 1. Follow Rt. 79 N to Exit 96 (Portersville Exit). Get onto Rt. 488 East towards Prospect. 2. Follow Rt. 488 into the town of Prospect, and make a right onto Rt. 528 South (S. Franklin St.) 3. Follow Rt. 528 South for about 4 miles. You'll pass the Whitestown Caf�, then Woodlands Road. 4. Make the next left onto Shannon Road. 5. Follow #6-8 above.

Rt. 8 directions: 1. Follow Rt. 8 North past the entrance for the Turnpike. 2. Continue past the Turnpike entrance for about 6 miles. You'll pass Richland Mall, Northtowne Square, and Bakerstown Garden Store.
3. Make a left onto Rt. 228 West. There is a sign at the intersection. 4. Follow Rt. 228 West for about � mile and make the second right onto Harbison Road. 5. Follow Harbison Road for about � mile and look for a white barn on the left. Pull into the driveway just past the barn and park on the grass. 6. If you are running late, park as mentioned above, then walk to the right of the white barn, following the trail straight back, then to the right, then a sharp left and down the hill. Look for the Food Bank truck and/or call 412-812-6716.
Rt. 79/228 directions: 1. Follow Rt. 79 North to the Rt. 228 exit (first exit after the turnpike exit). 2. Make a right at the exit onto Rt. 228 East toward Mars. 3. Follow Rt. 228 for 7.9 miles-you'll pass lots of sprawl, Seven Fields, and Mars School District.
4. At about 7 miles, the road will make a big curve-you'll see a large modern church off to the left (CrossWay). 5. As you're coming out of the curve, make a left onto Harbison Rd. It's Park Rd. to the right. 6. Follow #5 and #6 above from Harbison Rd. to the field.

From Pittsburgh:
� Take Rt. 79 North to Exit 75 (Warrendale).
� At the end of the exit ramp turn right. You are now traveling on the Red Belt.
� Travel across Rt. 19 (you will see an Exxon/7-11 station on your left and Amoco on your right) and head into Warrendale.
� At the stop sign (4-way intersection) in Warrendale continue straight ahead.
� At the next 4-way intersection, make a left, following the signs for the Red Belt. Almost immediately, you will pass through a small tunnel.
� Continue on this road. You will go past Rabold Fields housing development on the right, then the entrance to Pine Community Park on the right. As you start to climb the hill, you'll see Treesdale housing development on the left.
� At the top of this hill, you'll see a gazebo on the right back about 50 feet, construction stone and a sign for Wexford Farms. Make a right and turn down the farm lane. Park to the left.
