CHICAGO, June 20, 2012 -- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA)'s Pre-Check program for select frequent flyers will become available in the next few weeks to United Airlines passengers at O'Hare International Airport. See full TSA announcement here.
TSA's Pre-Check is a program for pre-screened frequent flyers who, if accepted into the Pre-Check program, are able to move quickly through a designated security checkpoint without having to remove their shoes, light outerwear or laptops from computer bags.
United will be the second airline at O'Hare to offer the Pre-Check program. TSA has been expanding its Pre-Check program to airports around the country and first extended it at O'Hare to select American Airlines passengers in March 2012.
The Pre-Check program is also available to members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Global Entry program. O'Hare has 10 Global Entry kiosks in International Terminal 5 to expedite processing for members returning to the U.S.
The TSA will soon announce more details on when and where Pre-Check for United passengers will begin at O'Hare.
