As every region in Tennessee is consistently working towards prevention in their area, we want to take a moment to recognize the efforts of two of our members in the Rural West Region: Philip Barham and Paula Terry (pictured here).
Paula was recently recognized by receiving the Giraffe Hero award for 'sticking her neck out to serve those in need.' All in West Tennessee know that Paula is always helping those in crisis and prevent suicide in Tennessee.
Also pictured is Phillip providing a Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) training to a group at the University of Memphis-Lambuth, which was featured in the Jackson Sun newspaper. We are all inspired by his dedication to suicide prevention and proud to welcome him as the Rural West Regional Chair on the Advisory Council of TSPN.
