Triad Triathlon Team Newsletter
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
September was a month of many "firsts" with an extraordinary amount of TTT'ers pushing beyond their comfort zones and reaching new horizons. We had several members do their first open water swims, or first ocean swims. We also had several members set PR's and complete their first Olympic distance Triathlon during the 4 th race of the TTT Race Series at Ramseur Lake. Just last weekend, we had more than 10 TTT members competing at the Ironman 70.3 Augusta and Ironman Chattanooga Races.

I hope that everyone on the team realizes just how lucky we are to have such vibrant and inspirational team members. Talk to your fellow TTT'er and get to know their incredible journey to better health and fitness through triathlon. Most importantly, don't let self-doubt and naysayers set your limits.  Pick a goal, define a plan, and go for it.

The list of TTT members signed up for one of the 2016 TTT Ironman destination races is growing.

Ironman 70.3  Augusta - REGISTRATION WILL OPEN SOON!
This race is also a perennial favorite.  (Just take a look at the pictures posted on our FaceBook page to see why) With a downstream swim (like Chattanooga), rolling bike course, and BONE FLAT run, this race attracts one of the largest # of participants on the Ironman circuit.

Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga - SOLD OUT
We have at least 16 TTT members registered for the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga race next May. To help prepare for the race, a TTT exclusive group coaching package will be rolled out. Details were provided in a previous newsletter. The 16 week program starts in February.  Email  [email protected] for additional details.

Ironman Canada
Registration is also open for this EPIC destination race. Located on the West Coast of Canada, this race is a true family destination race. Currently have 5 TTT members registered for this event! If you are thinking of signing up for a full distance Ironman race, please give this race serious consideration. The venue is simply amazing as it is located in a ski resort. You can ski/snowboard, mountain bike, and go to the beach all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel!

ATHLETE OF THE MONTH!

This month's AOM is Betsy Miles.  Betsy represents what is great about the TTT. She has been very enthusiastic and supportive of the team as a competitor, as well as through volunteerism at local races. Betsy's love for triathlon stems from a strong desire to continuously challenge herself and beat back boundaries. A great ambassador for the team, I encourage you to click here to read a short Q&A about Betsy. Look for her at our TTT Race Series events and if you see her,  please give her a slight nudge to sign up for Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga ;-)

Bring your families, chairs, games, and even grills.  Feel free to contact [email protected] for additional details or to confirm your desire to participate.

All races in the TTT Race series will be supported with the TTT Tent. We will have additional refreshments and recovery foods. Bring your lawn chairs and hang out before/after the race J . The swim course is in the intercostal water way and is known to have a very generous... last year saw a 2.4 mile swim in as little as 33 minutes! The bike course is flat to gently rolling with no significant elevation changes... other than a bridge. The run course is fast and flat. Check them out and join our delegation.
