Getting Connected Open House - Thursday September 28
Get Connected to Community Recreation, Leisure and Sport Programs in our Communities
Hockey? Swimming? Fitness? Music? Cheerleading?
Are you interested in Getting Connected to the different recreation, leisure and sport programs and opportunities that are available in our communities?
Getting Connected Open House is an opportunity for parents, caregivers and service providers to meet with all the community-based recreation, leisure and sport programs that are available for children and youth with disabilities in our region. Meet with the coaches and participants of these programs, ask the questions you have always wanted to know, and meet with other parents that are also exploring different opportunities. Some of the programs that may be in attendance are London Blizzard Sledge Hockey Program, George Bray Sports Association, A League of Our Own Soccer Club, Vipers Cheerleading Squad, Heroes' Circle Karate, Dance London, Making Waves Swim Program... and others.
If you are interested in attending this Open House, but your questions about participation go beyond learning what programs are available... consider a conversation with a Recreation Therapist to explore some of the different programs and opportunities that are available in your region. These one-on-one conversations are planned around you and your child's specific recreation, leisure and sport interests. Don't know what you might be interested in? No problem! We can explore all the different possibilities, and come up with a plan for next steps. Can't make one of these dates? Contact the TR team to plan another time if none of these times fit your family's busy schedule.
