Opportunities for Fellowship
St. Francis Day and Blessing of the Animals : Sunday, October 7th, this annual favorite returns to the 10:00 service, beginning our Creation Season observance. Bring your pets who travel well and can handle strangers. Otherwise, bring photos, memories, or even stuffed animals! On this day, we bless those special members of our families who bless us all year!

Foyer dinners : sign up as either a Foyer host or guest. 2 sign up sheets are at the back of the church.

Stewardship Brunch: The Stewardship Commission will provide a delicious brunch at 11:15 on Sunday September 23, when this year's Stewardship Campaign is launched. Please sign up in the narthex so we have some idea of numbers.

Opportunities for Service and Giving
Community Food Pantry : serving Kinnelon, Butler, and the surrounding area
·        Serve : deliver collected goods to the pantry
·        Give : NEW - requested items 8/29/2018 - Meat, chicken preferred, delivered directly to pantry. Paper towels, toilet paper, condiments, ramen noodles, coffee, diapers, similac, baby food. They don't need peanut butter, pancake mix, or canned goods at the moment.·      Contact Nancy Moody at   nelmoo@optimum.net

North Porch : a ministry supplying goods and services to mothers and young children
·        Serve : deliver collected goods to North Porch in Dover
·        Give : place items for children under 4 years old in the cradle in the church. NEW list of requested donations in September Visions

Grocery Cards/vouchers : purchase grocery cards for your use, and St. David’s receives a donation, or purchase vouchers which are pooled to support food pantries in the communities we serve. During 2018 so far, we have distributed $3000 to five local food pantries. Thank you!

Bishop's Consecration : the Rev. Carlye J. Hughes will be made the XI Bishop of Newark on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 am at NJPAC. Everyone is welcome, but everyone needs a free ticket! Tickets have been arranged for those who let us know, but you may still be able to get your own ticket. NEW: Ticket registrations are still open until Sept 12. The Diocese has extended the deadline to ensure that everyone who would like to attend has a ticket.  CLICK HERE  to register.
Opportunities for Community Engagement
Celebrate Life 5K Walk : On Saturday, September 29 Nancy Moody will be participating to benefit the Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center which provides grief education and emotional support to all persons who have suffered a loss by death, including pet loss. No one is turned away because of inability to pay. Nancy is a bereavement counselor employed by the agency. To sponsor of Nancy as she walks that day, please speak with her after church. 

K-FEST is coming back : Mark your calendar for September 28 & 29. St. David's will have a presence again. Please contact Irene Williams if you would like to help.

Kinnelon Town-Wide Garage Sale October 6 : St. David's will participate on Saturday with tables for vendors and personal sales - watch this space!

Two American Legion Fundraisers : Rummage Sale Saturday September 8, Masonic Lodge, 28 Main Street, Butler, Also Boniello's Restaurant, Tuesday September 18, mention American Legion Auxiliary Unit 154 when ordering.

Parish Administrator vacation : Gill Otto will be in England Friday, September 7 through Wednesday, September 12.

Coming Soon : as a part of our ongoing commitment to financial transparency and accountability, we will soon be launching a new procedure for requesting checks from the church. If you occasionally need reimbursement for items purchased for the church, look for information from the parish office in the coming weeks, along with the new form that will be required.
