Are You ENGAGED?
Wednesday Discipleship begins with 
prayer at 4:30 pm, followed by dinner at 5:00 pm, and discipleship classes at 6:00 pm.  If you have yet to sign-up for a discipleship class, it's not too late. Books are available to purchase at a table during Wednesday Night Supper and in the classrooms. Following is a list of current classes:

Wednesday Discipleship Childcare Guidelines
Childcare for babies through three-year olds is available from 5:45 pm-7:30 pm and is provided for discipleship leaders and class participants. In case of an emergency, a parent/guardian must be on campus at all times.  

B.L.A.S.T. Fall Sunday School Teacher Training
B.L.A.S.T. training is on Sunday, September 16, from 3:00 pm-5:45 pm. The theme is "Our Mission: We Teach God's Word." The training will be led by Keith Murdock of First Baptist Church (Duluth, Georgia). This training is for all Sunday School and Bible Study teachers. Childcare will be provided. Call Crystal Gilley in the church office by Wednesday, September 5, to reserve childcare. 
Friday Morning Bible Study
Friday Morning Bible Study begins Friday, September 7, at 9:30 am in room 209. The group study is  Searching for Heaven on Earth by David Jeremiah. Men and women of all ages are invited to attend. Evalyn Parrish is the facilitator. Cost of the book is $11.00.

Babes with Bibles and Babes
Babes with Bibles and Babes (BBB) is a group of women committed to discovering how to bring God glory in our everyday lives. As wives, mothers, and friends we strive to nurture, encourage and train each other to be Godly women. We will meet Wednesday mornings, beginning September 5, from 8:45 am-10:15 am in the Parlor. We will study Chase by Jennie Allen. MUSIC MINISTRY
PraiSingers and Tabernacle Ringers Resume
On Wednesday, September 5, the Senior Adult Choir (10:30 am) and Handbell Choir (12:00 pm) resume weekly rehearsals. PraiSingers is open to any adult age 55+, and our Handbell Choir is looking for alternate ringers by audition. Both groups sing and play in worship at Tabernacle and around the community. If you are interested in joining, please email [email protected] .
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Children's Worship
Starting Sunday, September 2, 2 nd -5 th graders will attend worship services. On September 9, your child will receive a worship backpack that includes a Bible for use in Sunday School and Worship Services. Each month during service, a special worship time has been designated for children. To reserve your child's Bible, contact Crystal Gilley at [email protected] or in the church office.
WAM! Worship Arts & Missions
Starting at four years old, our kids have the opportunity to participate in Worship Arts and Missions. During Worship Arts, kids learn to praise God through playing instruments, singing, art, drama, puppets, and movement. Missions Education teaches kids how to pray for and support missionaries around the world, and more importantly, how to BE missionaries.
MEN'S MINISTRY
Men's Ministry Breakfast
The Men Ministry will gather for breakfast on Saturday, September 15, at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. All men of the church are invited. Bring a friend!
MISSIONS MINISTRY
Mission Teams
Please be in prayer this week for our Mozambique Mission Team they travel to their respective destination and minister through service.

Community Needs
Open Hands, our community food and assistance center, needs pop-top fruits, meats, and new or gently used stuffed animals. Alice's House, a local children's home, need various gift certificates to be used for clothing, groceries, and/or fast food. Items can be dropped off in the hallway by the Fellowship Hall.

The menu is as follows: beef tacos, Spanish rice, black beans, salad bar, tortilla chips, and pound cake.

The cost is $6.00 per adult and $3.00 per child. Reservations are not required, however we encourage you to sign up for the following week, when you pay for the current week, so we have an estimate.
2018-2019 Projected Financial Plan
The Projected Giving and Expenditure Plan (the Plan) for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 is being presented to the church for consideration by the Finance Committee with the approval and recommendation of the Church Ministry Council, the Deacon Administration Council and the deacon body. A Called Church Conference is scheduled for Sunday, September 9, at 4:00 pm in the Chapel. Members of the Finance Committee will be available to answer questions and to clarify any information. A Called Church Conference will meet immediately following worship on
Sunday, September 23 to vote on the Proposed Giving and Expenditure Plan without discussion.

Job Opening 
We are hiring a Part-time Food Service Assistant to aid the Food Service Director in prepping and preparing food for meals and/or receptions. The position requires a minimum of 5 hours a week on Wednesday, and more as needed. Must be eighteen years or older and have some food service experience. Must be able to stand for long periods. Heavy lifting required. Interested applicants may complete an application in the church office.
