Take Back the American Election is Theme of Take Back the American Dream, on FSTV Monday-Wednesday
TBAD 2012

Five months before the critical November elections, progressive activists from across the country are gathering to take the election back from corporate super PACS at the "Take Back the American Dream" conference Monday through Wednesday in Washington, D.C.

Tune in for coverage of this important event at the following times on FSTV: DISH channel 348, DIRECTV channel 9415 and online:

Awards Dinner: Mon. June 18: 7-9 pm ET
Plenary Luncheon: Tues., June 19: 1-2 pm ET
Taking on Wall St.: Tues., June 19: 3:30-6 pm ET
Plenary: Plutocracy or Democracy Tues., 4:30 - 5:45 pm ET
Closing Plenary: Wed., 11:45 am---1 pm ET.

The conference features New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, Rebuild the Dream's Van Jones, Rep. Keith Ellison, Sen. Sherrod Brown, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, MSNBC's Alex Wagner and Melissa Harris-PerryKatrina vanden Heuvel of the Nation, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Rep. Barney Frank, and many others. There will be presentations by noted commentators, including Barbara Ehrenreich, Melissa Harris-Perry and Jim Hightower.

The conference will conclude Wednesday afternoon with a march from the Washington Hilton Hotel to the offices of conservative political operative Karl Rove and his Crossroads GPS Super PAC. The march and rally will "indict" Rove for his leading role in what march supporters are calling an effort by a small group of wealthy conservatives to buy our democracy and suppress the votes of ordinary citizens. More details of the march are available here.
